Question/Answers about Day Permits

Q. Can I make changes to the booking if I need to once I've bought a Permit?

A. Yes, you can. There will be a link in your confirmation email that allows you to make changes.

Q. Do I need a paper version of the permit?

A. You'll have the email confirmation on your phone, which will be fine. The email will contain a pdf of the permit itself so you could print off and bring with you if you want to. Handy, for example, if you forget your phone or your phone runs out of charge.

Q. I've bought a Day Permit but haven't had a confirmation email?

A. It's probably in your junk email folder - please check. If you have any problems, contact the fishery.

Q. How many fish can I take on a Day Permit?

A. A £30 day permit allows you to catch up to 3 trout (no catch and release).

A few simple rules...
  • NO CATCH AND RELEASE

  • Single fly only

  • No wading - it's quite deep at the edge!

  • We have had several visits from the Environment Agency so we do insist all anglers (over 12) hold a current rod license.

  • Spectators are welcome but no rod sharing allowed. Although we have our own team of qualified coaches, we are more than happy for visitors to coach another visitor, but both must purchase a day ticket if they are both going to fish, and we strongly advise that both wear hats and glasses as eye protection (we insist on this when we are coaching).

  • Well-behaved dogs are allowed provided you clear up after them and take poo bags off-site.

Cash or cheque only please if you are paying onsite (and not online) as there are no card facilities at the lakes.
